Sage Essential Oil - Homemade Skin Care and More!

Clary sage oil is steam distilled from the leaves of Salvia sclera. This plant grows about two to three feet in height and width of the square, hairy, such as stems. It blooms pink, white, pale blue or lilac flowers in late spring or early summer. It is a hardy, perennial, herb with large felted, deciduous, the leaves. It grows well in full sun and in large containers. It is found in the northern Mediterranean, North Africa and Central Asia region. It has been used in history as a medicinal herb, but is now mainly grown for their essential oils. This oil is the total stimulus to the brain, nervous system, liver, spleen, circulation and excretion functions. Clary Sage essential oil is a light golden color. It is thin to medium consistency and earthy, herbaceous, subtle fruit aroma. It is used in different ways.
Clary sage essential oils can be used in various ways: in flames, vaporizers, massage, baths, creams, lotions, hair care, commercial and anti-aging skin care products. Use it for making homemade soap, homemade lotion or homemade shampoo for oily hair. Just make sure you follow all instructions carefully, the local skin or hair and scalp formulation. This specialty oil blends well with juniper, lavender, geranium, sandalwood oil, jasmine oil, frankincense, ginger, rosewood, rosemary, hyssop, tea tree (Melaleuca oil), lemon, orange and other citrus oils. Clary Sage "absolutely" essential oil has a hint of peppermint and sweeter than clary sage oil. Both of these essential oils are differences of Dalmatian sage oil, otherwise known as the Common sage oil.
Dalmatian sage (Common Sage)
Dalmatian sage differs chemically from Clary Sage and aromatically. This essential oil is steam distilled from Salvia officials, small, perennial, evergreen, dwarf shrub. That's woody stems, grayish leaves and blooms white, pink, blue to purple flowers in late spring or summer. It grows about two feet wide, and is native to the Mediterranean region. This is the other common names, sage, common sage, garden sage, golden sage, Kitchen sage, true sage, Culinary sage and broadleaf sage. This essential oil is a strong herbaceous, fresh fruit aromas with clear paint and thin consistency. Its benefits are similar to Clary sage oil. It blends well with bergamot oil, rosemary, mandarin, orange, grapefruit and lemon essential oils. It is mainly used in perfumes, soaps, lotions, creams, candles, detergents, massage, cosmetics, deodorants, skin care products for aromatherapy benefits.
